Systems Operators – Real Heroes
Managers oversee how things are going, analysts dive into the real causes of problems, developers fit things together, and firefighters save lives. When it comes to computers, you do all of that together.
The key to success is being one step ahead of others—knowing things are failing before anyone else.
How to achieve that?
When it comes to data publishing (and also data consuming), you need to know:
- What is the standard behavior of your distribution over time? Does the update period or size vary? Which values at certain times are clear signs that things are likely going wrong?
- Is the output (or input) you care about conforming to the agreement? This means—does it validate against the XML Schema? If not, things will break immediately.
This study provides historical insights (updated regularly) on the behavior of distributions over time, including the conformance of their samples to XML Schemas.
